PWPL 3D Prints Face Shields for Local First Responders and Hospitals

In our ongoing efforts to support the community during this difficult time, PWPL has coordinated with the Port Washington – Manhasset Office of Emergency Management (PWM OEM) to 3D print person protective equipment (PPE) for those working on the front lines to protect our population. As of today, 243 face printed face shields have been donated. Technology Librarians Melanie Davidoff and James Hutter were recently honored as Local Heroes by the Town of North Hempstead for their efforts in making this initiative possible.
