Note: Special COVID-19 Safety Protocols are in effect for all meeting spaces. Carefully read the rules and protocols below. Requesting to book a space means that you agree with and will adhere to all rules and protocols.

COVID-19 Special Rules and Protocols

  • All bookable meeting spaces are operating at 33% capacity.
  • Masks are REQUIRED to be worn by ALL ATTENDEES above the age of 2 AT ALL TIMES.
  • Seating is arranged to promote social distancing.
  • Food is not allowed.
  • Meeting spaces may be reserved up to 30 days in advance.
  • Failure to adhere to these rules and protocols may result in denial of future booking requests.


Port Washington organizations may request the use of the Hagedorn or the Lapham Meeting Rooms:

Hagedorn Meeting Room: for groups from 6 to 16 persons in attendance

Lapham Meeting Room: for groups from 20 to 50 persons in attendance

Adult Learning Center Rooms A, B, and C: for groups from 6 to 16 persons in attendance

Attendance may be limited by table and seating arrangements.

The request will be PENDING ONLY, until you receive a confirmation email.

The first time you use this system, you will need to create a Spaces account (once you click “Request Now“).  Next, choose a date and time.  Then, choose the room you wish to request. You may enter a request up to 30 days in advance. If you wish to make your event easily found on our Event Calendar, please create or assign an Organization when you submit your room request.

Equipment List
We offer a variety of A/V and technology equipment to support your meeting. If you wish to use any of the items below, the library requires that an A/V technician be assigned to your event. A fee will be assessed depending on the specific equipment and staffing required to support your event.

  • Computer Projection
    • Using a Library’s PC Laptop
      • These are Windows 7 PCs, which include PowerPoint, Microsoft Office & Windows Media Player.
        It is highly recommended that presenters bring their presentation on a USB flash drive to the event.
    • Using a Presenter’s Personal Laptop
      Please be sure to call or email our A/V staff and indicate the following:

      • Is the Presenter’s Laptop a Windows PC or an Apple MacBook?
      • Does the Laptop have VGA, HDMI or Thunderbolt Output for an LCD projector?
      • Will the Presenter require Audio from the Laptop?
  • Internet Access
  • Wired Microphone at Podium
  • Other Wired Microphones (1 – 4 additional microphones can be supplied)
  • Wireless Handheld Microphone
  • DVD Projection
  • CD Playback
  • Other Audio Playback (i.e. iPod, Tablet)
  • Piano and Stage Lights
  • Mobile TV Cart with DVD Playback

We cannot guarantee access to equipment or staff assistance that has not been requested beforehand. We require advance notice to process any changes in custodial or technical requirements.
