Christina Massey: The Undulating Unknown

On view May 2 through June 30

Christina Massey is a mixed-media artist known for her vibrant botanical abstractions made from repurposed materials, especially aluminum craft beer cans. Her work spans sculpture, painting, and installation, often addressing environmental and consumer waste issues. In 2023, she received a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, exhibited at SPRING/BREAK Art Show in NYC, held a residency at Art Cake in Brooklyn, and had a solo installation at Montefiore Einstein’s Gallery for ARTFul Medicine. Her work is held in collections including the Janet Turner Museum, Art Bank DC, and Bank of America. Massey studied painting and set design at CSU Chico and founded WoArtBlog, an Instagram platform spotlighting female-identifying artists. She has curated exhibitions at Court Tree Collective, C24 Gallery, Pelham Art Center, and more.
