Queer in Port
An Oral History Exhibit
On view in the Community Gallery through June 30
The History Center at the Port Washington Public Library has partnered with Be The Rainbow to conduct oral history interviews documenting the experience of LGBTQIA+ elders and families who grew up in or currently live in Port Washington, as told to younger members of the local LGBTQIA+ community. Stop by the Community Gallery in June to see an exhibit highlighting this project and the Be The Rainbow organization as well as pictures, artwork, and memorabilia celebrating Pride Month. Click here to access the oral histories online through our New York Heritage digital collection.
