The Library is proud to announce the return of our popular Manhasset Bay Boat Tours, which are generously sponsored by the Library’s Nautical Advisory Council.  There will be a limited number of seats, chosen by random lottery, available on tours to be held on the following dates:

Wednesday, June 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Lottery opens on Thursday, June 1 and closes at 5 pm on Wednesday, June 7, click here for the lottery form)

Monday, June 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Lottery opens on Thursday, June 1 and closes at 5 pm on Tuesday, June 20, click here for the lottery form)

Tuesday, July 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Lottery opens on Monday, June 26 and closes at 5 pm on Thursday, July 6, click here for the lottery form)

Monday, July 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (Lottery opens on Saturday, July 1 and closes at 5 pm on Tuesday, July 18, click here for the lottery form)

Monday, August 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Lottery opens on Tuesday, July 25 and closes at 5 pm on Wednesday, August 2, click here for the lottery form)

Tuesday, August 29 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. (Lottery opens on Tuesday, August 8 and closes at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 22, click here for the lottery form)

Each 2-hour tour will offer sightseeing and education on Port Washington’s fascinating local history with a fully trained docent.

Spots on these tours will be available only to Port Washington cardholders or residents.  The minimum age is 5 years old.  You may only attend one of the tours. Once you have been selected for a tour, you may not enter any further tour lotteries. People can reserve up to 4 spots, and individuals or groups will be chosen by a random lottery. One entry per group.  The cost per passenger is $15.00.

Once individuals or groups of up to 4 people have been randomly chosen, they will be notified by phone and/or email and required to pay the fee in-person at the Library Circulation Desk prior to the scheduled tour.  Payment can be made by cash or credit card.

The boat (The Elixir) will depart from Inspiration Wharf at 405 Main Street, which is approximately one block south of Town Dock.

Please note filling out the sign-up form does not guarantee you a spot on the boat tour.  The limited spots will be chosen by a random lottery.  Those who are chosen will be notified by phone and/or email.  Please make sure to provide reliable contact information. If you are selected, you must confirm your attendance and provide payment by the payment deadline or risk cancellation.
